About Marshmallow We build financial products that accelerate the economic freedom for people who move across borders. We started with car insurance — insuring over a million drivers — and we’re scaling beyond. Tens of millions of people move countries each year, facing overlooked financial challenges. Our future is in building financial products around their needs to positively impact their lives.

The Role As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable, reliable data models that support multiple products and customer journeys. You will collaborate with product, operations, fraud, claims, retention, and growth teams to design datasets that drive real-time decisions, personalisation, and pricing optimisation for each product line. You will also act as the subject matter expert for DBT, Snowflake, and Looker, setting the gold standard for how multi-product data models are built, tested, and optimised.

Job Requirements You should have deep experience with production-grade ETLs, data warehousing, and robust data modelling. You should be highly proficient in SQL and deeply understand Snowflake architecture. You should have hands-on experience with DBT, Looker (or similar BI tools), and orchestration frameworks like Airflow or AWS Step Functions. Experience with Python, Java, or cloud infrastructure (AWS); background in insurance, fintech, or regulated industries; excitement about building a multi-product ecosystem would be a bonus.

Benefits We offer flexible working, a competitive bonus scheme, a flexible benefits budget, mental wellbeing support, personal budgets for books and training courses, private health care, a medical cash plan, a tech scheme, and 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), a pension, a cycle to work scheme, and monthly team socials.

Application Details Our process includes an initial call with a member from our Talent Team, a technical interview with a couple of the team, a past experience interview with our Head of Data Engineering, and a culture interview to check that your work style fits our processes and values.
