What will you be doing?
Passionate art teacher supporting asylum seekers and refugee learners to express themselves through creative activities. Fosters a safe, inclusive space to build confidence, reduce stress, and promote well-being through painting, crafts, and self-expression. Teachers need it twice a month for 2 hours each session. These sessions are intended to be every Friday from 2 to 4 pm.
What are we looking for?
Experience in teaching art or leading creative workshops Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills Ability to work with vulnerable individuals from diverse backgrounds Creative, adaptable, and supportive approach Passion for promoting wellbeing through the arts Understanding of trauma-informed practice (desirable) Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment Basic English and cross-cultural awareness Team player with a positive and encouraging attitude
