Role Summary

  • An opportunity for an independent creative practitioner for a 9-month VARI Creative Fellowship.
  • Work closely with Library and Research colleagues to explore and introduce new approaches to engage with the National Art Library's collections.
  • Stipend of £14,000 for 9 months, alongside a production/public engagement budget of up to £5,000.

Role Requirements

  • Candidates should be creative practitioners working in any medium within the art and design community.
  • Interest in exploring library collections as part of their creative practice is essential.

The V&A Research Institute (VARI), National Art Library (NAL) and Archives team at the V&A is looking for an independent creative practitioner to help us explore new ways of engaging with the National Art Library's special collections and members of the public. We welcome applications for a 9-month VARI Creative Fellowship from creative practitioners working in any medium within the art and design community. We would like to hear from you if you are interested in exploring library collections as part of your creative practice. With the VARI Creative Fellowship 2025-26, we invite you to work closely with Library and Research colleagues to shine a new light on the collections of the National Art Library through your creative practice.
