What will you be doing?

Partnering for Purpose CIC is seeking an experienced Volunteer Manager to support our start-up development phase by establishing and embedding best practice volunteer management structures. We are looking for a volunteer with existing knowledge and experience in:

Volunteer management: designing recruitment, induction, and retention processes. HR processes: supporting onboarding, basic training needs, and volunteer engagement strategies. Governance: helping us align volunteer roles with our organisational policies and safeguarding standards. Safeguarding: ensuring all volunteer activities and processes are compliant with relevant safeguarding practices and legal requirements.

You will work alongside our founder to:

Develop volunteer policies and procedures. Support the recruitment and management of initial volunteer roles. Create volunteer role descriptions and agreements. Advise on safeguarding best practices for volunteer management. Help us create an inclusive, rewarding, and structured volunteer experience.

What are we looking for?

Person Specification:

Demonstrable experience in volunteer management, HR, governance, or safeguarding roles (preferably within the non-profit or CIC sector). Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong communication and organisational skills. An understanding of the needs of a start-up social enterprise is desirable.

What difference will you make?

Your efforts will be instrumental in building a strong volunteer team and partnership network, enabling Partnering for Purpose CIC to effectively deliver its services and achieve its mission of empowering social change. A well-managed volunteer and partnership program will directly contribute to our capacity to support more socially trading organisations and purpose-led SMEs in the Liverpool/Merseyside area, ultimately benefiting local communities. There is also a potential pathway to becoming a board member for volunteers who demonstrate strong commitment and strategic thinking.
