The Role: As a Lecturer in History of Design and Material Culture, you will contribute to our V&A/RCA History of Design Programme. Responsibilities include teaching in the Summer and Autumn terms of 2026, supervising MA dissertations, and supporting student-led projects. In Autumn 2026, you will deliver a research-led module focusing on global and decolonial perspectives. This role requires marking and student supervision extending into early 2027.
Job Requirements: We seek an outstanding Lecturer with a strong background as a researcher and/or practitioner in design history and material culture studies. Experience in teaching and supervising postgraduate students is essential, along with a commitment to global design histories and ethical working practices.
