What will you be doing?
This volunteer post is flexible and remote, and will see you assist this small charity in securing essential fundraising. If you are an experienced fundraiser (particularly experience if some of the following: community-based events, bidding for grants, corporate donor engagement, wills & legacies) who is passionate about animal welfare, please apply now. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the sanctuary team to identify funding needs and set clear financial targets. Lead and support fundraising campaigns targeting specific projects (e.g., animal care, facility improvements, etc.). Develop, plan, and execute fundraising events and initiatives, both online and offline. Provide guidance where appropriate for our local events which are run by current volunteers Engage with donors, sponsors, and potential partners to secure financial support. Research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding from private foundations, government agencies, and other potential sources. Assist the General Manager in monitoring and report on fundraising progress
What are we looking for?
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in fundraising, particularly with grants applications, events and campaigns. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively. Passion for animal welfare and commitment to our sanctuary’s mission. Strategy experience would also be desirable.
