Description Head of the Infrastructure and Value Chain Project Control Section, Operating Planning and BUC Office, Directorate of Space Transportation. Under the direct authority of the Head of Operating Planning and BUC Office, the Head of the Infrastructure and Value Chain Project Control Section (STS-BI) will be responsible for the project control and management support activities undertaken in support of Infrastructure and Value Chain (STS-I) within the Directorate of Space Transportation.
The Role The Head of the Infrastructure and Value Chain Project Control Section (STS-BI) supports the Head of Infrastructure and Value Chain in the management of programme and project activities relating to cost, schedule, risk and other controlling activities. You will lead the team of project controllers in the Infrastructure and Value Chain Project Control Section (STS-BI), providing project control and management support to all programmes, projects and activities of Infrastructure and Value Chain (STS-I) to enable on-time, at-cost and quality project delivery.
Job Requirements A master's in engineering or business administration is required for this post. Extensive experience in programme and project controlling, including risk management and reporting; The potential to manage individuals or a team in a project setting; The ability to organise their activities and ensure a motivating work environment; Strong leadership capabilities, with proven relationship management and communication skills; The ability to drive your team’s performance, developing your people by encouraging learning, delegating responsibility and giving regular and constructive feedback; Strong problem-solving skills to deal with day-to-day operational challenges, together with demonstrated planning and organisational skills; Strong results orientation with the ability to set priorities and present practical solutions both orally and in writing; The ability to manage challenging situations proactively and constructively and to be customer focused.
