What will you be doing?

What does the role involve? Using your fantastic people skills to bring the team together and offering support and encouragement to other volunteers. Bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to help the team develop new ideas and activities that will raise funds for Guide Dogs. Putting your excellent organisation skills to good use by managing the team’s calendar and making sure the events are supported. Using your local networks and connections to work with businesses, shops, schools, libraries and groups in your area to host events. Being an ambassador for Guide Dogs by sharing stories and information about the impact of our services. Making sure fundraising policies and procedures are followed Ensuring that any information provided by Guide Dogs is cascaded to relevant supporters or volunteers Ensuring income raised from events is banked in a timely manner

What are we looking for?

We need someone who is able to generate enthusiasm and lead a group of volunteers to achieve great results. A good communicator and someone with prior experience of managing teams and taking the lead. A non judgemental stance and a person who embraces all members of society to help with raising funds to support the vision of Guide Dogs. Someone with excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan & facilitate fundraising events from collections at local supermarkets, to Guide Dogs coffee mornings and tea parties.  Confidence and networking skills to promote fundraising opportunities with businesses and local organisations.

Your help will support Guide Dogs to provide guide dogs and other mobility services that enable blind and partially-sighted people to enjoy the same freedom of movement as everyone else.
