We are looking for a System AIV Engineer to join our team at the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality. Our team consists of 30+ highly motivated experts providing support to ESA projects in the AIV and programmatic domains. We provide technical advice and support to projects in the area of system verification, from early phases up to environmental testing and launch campaigns. Our expertise covers thermo-mechanical, electrical-functional and system AIV engineering domains.
The role entails providing expert technical support and consultancy to ESA projects, programmes and general studies with respect to the AIV, AIT and programmatic domains throughout projects’ lifetimes. You will be responsible for supporting the definition and implementation of a satellite verification programme, taking into account technical and programmatic requirements, the adequacy of the models’ philosophy and the suitability of integration and test facilities. You will also be responsible for proactively monitoring the satellite AIT activities and the industrial procurement activities relating to spacecraft, ground support equipment and test facilities within the assigned project(s).
Job requirements include a master’s degree in aerospace engineering or a relevant scientific discipline. Specific experience in the assembly, integration, verification and testing of complex space systems in the thermo-mechanical and/or electrical-functional domains, including active participation in project integration and testing phases is required. Experience in organising and supporting satellite-related industrial activities, including AIV schedule assessment, risk monitoring and participation in project reviews is also required.
