What will you be doing?
St John Ambulance, Kent, is seeking a dynamic and proactive County Recruitment Consultant (Volunteer) to lead a focused attraction campaign to recruit community volunteers, first aiders, and healthcare professionals across Kent. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity to make a tangible impact by supporting the growth and sustainability of vital community services delivered by St John people. Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver a targeted recruitment campaign tailored to Kent's community needs. Collaborate with local St John teams to understand staffing gaps and priorities. Use a range of channels (social media, community networks, local media, events) to promote volunteering opportunities. Support the development of appealing recruitment materials and messaging. Coordinate local outreach efforts and attend community engagement events where appropriate. Track campaign performance and adapt strategies based on outcomes and feedback. Provide handover and documentation to support ongoing recruitment efforts after the campaign ends.
What are we looking for?
What You’ll Bring
Experience in recruitment, HR, marketing, or community engagement. Strong communication and campaign planning skills. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently and in collaboration. Passion for volunteering and supporting community health services. Knowledge of the Kent area and its community landscape (preferred but not essential).
