The role As the Engineering Manager, Infrastructure & Security at Fanalysis, you'll be our leading technical authority responsible for building and maintaining a world-class cloud infrastructure that supports our passionate football fan community. You'll architect secure, scalable, and cost-effective systems while establishing the foundational practices that enable our engineering teams to deliver exceptional experiences. Beyond infrastructure, you'll oversee our information technology operations and ensure our platform meets the highest standards of security and reliability.
Job requirements 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or similar roles, with at least 2 years in leadership positions. Deep expertise in AWS cloud services and architecture best practices. Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Strong experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, or similar). Extensive knowledge of security best practices, identity access management, and privileged access management. Hands-on experience with database management systems, specifically MySQL and MongoDB. Proven experience serving high-availability, customer-facing applications. Experience implementing and managing content delivery networks. Strong understanding of cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure. Experience managing IT operations including Google Workspace, Slack, and employee lifecycle processes. Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues. Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering teams. Experience with compliance frameworks and security auditing. Passion for building secure, reliable systems that scale with business growth.
This is a full-time role based in London. Our office is in Soho and we believe in the benefits of working together, so ideally you’d be able to join us in the office at least 3 days a week.
