What will you be doing?
This is a key role within the XR North Comms team. The Press Liaison develops and nurtures press contacts in the North. No one knows what we're doing if we don't get the word out to the public!
The role can be shared between two people, reducing the time commitment necessary. Buddying, training and support can be provided.
Accessibility Considerations:
This is a remote role involving screen time and Zoom meetings. We will try to accommodate your needs as best as we can. Closed captions can be used.
What are we looking for?
Essential:
Communicative Reliable Proactive Comfortable working remotely across different IT platforms Liaising with groups across the North (online) Highly organised Networking A minimum of 3 years experience within the world of journalism or media & messaging
Desired:
Willingness to undertake any necessary training
What difference will you make?
You will:
Develop postive working relationships with our press contacts across the North. Write press releases. Have a commitment to share XR actions with the general public in a positive light. Support XR North Local Groups to develop their press release writing skills. Encourage and support XR North Local Groups to write press releases that attract new audiences and widen our reach.
