About us

We are one of the largest anti-slavery charities in the world driven by the urgent mission to protect people in poverty from violence.

Operating in more than 25 countries, our team is leading a global movement to end modern slavery, combat violence against women and children, and restrain police abuse of power. Our ambitious 2030 goal is to see millions of people brought to safety, protect 300 million from violence, and make justice for those living in poverty unstoppable.

Our approach

Our approach is unusual; we work with governments, decision-makers and law enforcement leaders at international, national and local levels to strengthen justice systems.

This approach enables us to deliver an extraordinary impact at scale. In the nine jurisdictions where we have worked to strengthen justice systems we have seen slavery and violence reduced by between 50 and 86% implying over 10 million people protected from abuse and exploitation. What is more, we keep measuring after the end of our programmes and find that justice systems remain strengthened, proving that our work is enduring.

But with conflict and climate change creating more of the conditions that make people vulnerable to trafficking and violence, the need for our work is only increasing.

The role and person

To meet this challenge, we have ambitious plans to grow our income in the UK from £4m to £10m by the end of the decade. This will take an exceptional, innovative and empowering leader to shape our partnerships (major donor, foundations, corporates and churches) strategy and inspire and equip our ambitious team of 12. You will thrive in strategic leadership and will not be afraid to innovate to seek extraordinary outcomes.

The outcome will be a step-change in the financial support to fuel our mission to end human trafficking and modern slavery, stop violence, and make a global impact that will last for generations.
