Volunteer Website builder / creator for a Devon based Mental Health Charity.

What will you be doing?

We need the page to be a welcoming place for potential participants and referrers as well as being a place to showcase our work to funders and donors. We have a website www.devonhh.org.uk  But it's not showing up on search engine results we need to add pixels to see where traffic is coming from. We need to make it more suitable for mobile viewing and we need to develop new pages for it. You would be working with our CEO and also training them on maintenance and editing so that they can continue this after you finish this project.

What are we looking for?

Passion. You’ll be passionate about development and self motivated Proficiency in WordPress  Performance. Understand the importance of site performance both frontend and backend security. Knowledge of building secure sites accessibility. A thorough understanding of accessibility across the web You will also need to be able to explain how to maintain the site ideally also with the creation of "noddy notes" to allow other members of our team to maintain and edit the site in your absence. Our ideal person is also great at content creation and can support us with other digital work to increase visibility but this is a bonus and not a requirement.

Your work will have have several significant impacts on our charity: User Experience (UX): The usability and navigation of the website greatly influence user experience. As a skilled designer you can create intuitive layouts and interfaces that make it easy for visitors to find what they're looking for, leading to a better experience for them. Increased donation rates: Our website is where people go to donate so the better the experience and more compelling they content the more donations we should get.  Increased visibility (SEO): Elements of website, such as site structure, page load speed, and mobile responsiveness, can all impact our SEO rankings.
