What will you be doing?

The Editorial Manager will:

Collaborate with the Creative Producer and other colleagues to develop and execute impactful digital campaigns and projects that engage new audiences, influence public conversations, and shape the narrative surrounding migration. Supervise and manage the editorial production process, from idea generation to publication. Develop and curate creative content for various digital platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and our website, aligning with our digital strategy and ongoing campaigns while maintaining the overall Qisetna brand, messaging, and tone of voice. Edit all content before publication to ensure maximum impact and engagement. Assist content curators in research, planning, and management of digital exhibitions. Liaise with external partners, artists, and agencies to obtain licences and permissions for publishing content. Collaborate with the Marketing Department to develop and implement social media strategies  Implement and manage social media paid campaigns and collaborate with the Creative Producer and Marketing Department in researching and engaging media personalities and influencers.

What are we looking for?

Essential  

Understanding of the challenges and opportunities of working in a small but highly skilled and motivated team with ambitious goals, and the ability to work independently. Experience in developing digital creative content and implementing digital campaigns. You should be highly organised, comfortable with administrative tasks, have strong editorial judgement and attention to detail, be self-directed, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Team player mentality, as the role involves close collaboration with all staff members on marketing, communications, programming, and content publishing. Strong expertise in social media and experience with managing a public social media account (informal or formal position). Relevant experience in digital content creation. Excellent editorial judgement and attention to detail, including strong writing and proofreading skills. Understanding of and commitment to the goals of Qisetna, including sensitivity to controversial issues

  Desirable  

Demonstrate an understanding of forced migration and its impact on individuals (or willingness to research and learn). Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for creating engaging content across multiple digital platforms. Experience with Hootsuite, Twitter Analytics, Facebook Analytics, WordPress, or similar website content management systems. Experience in creating paid social media campaigns using Facebook Ads Manager. Genuine interest in UK migration history, diversity, and inclusion
