We're on the lookout for a new Chair and up to six Trustees to join our Board as we continue to evolve under new leadership. With dynamic festivals like Journeys Festival International and Re/action Festival, a growing national consultancy portfolio, and a deep commitment to inclusive programming and cultural leadership, now is the time to join us as we scale our ambitions and deepen our impact. We want bold thinkers who care about the role of creativity in shaping compassionate, inclusive communities. Whether you bring lived experience of migration, expertise in arts production, safeguarding, marketing, or fundraising - we want to hear from you. This is a voluntary opportunity to join a values-driven organisation making a difference through festivals, cultural programmes and consultancy across the UK and Europe. We are happy to consider applications from candidates who wish to apply as a Co-chair. Job Responsibilities Responsibilites include but are not limited to the following. Chair:
The Chair will lead the Board of Trustees ensuring overall success in achieving the organisations mission and vision. In particular the Chair will: Undertake regular catch-up meetings with the Exec Team and Creative Director providing support and guidance Act as a figurehead for the charity (for example, representing Art Reach at functions, meetings or in the press) Lead on the development of the board and make sure its decisions are carried out Promote a positive organisational culture and ensure compliance with legal and ethical obligations. Length of Service: 3-year term of office with potential to be reappointed
Trustees x6: Trustees will lead the charity and oversee effective governance across the organisation, ensuring Art Reach is carrying out its purposes for the public benefit. Time Commitment: Minimum of four board meetings per year (evenings). One annual Board Away Day. Individual meetings with Managing Director/Chair as required. (Chair - Additional monthly meetings with the Exec Team and CEO)

Enthusiastic about the arts with a strong commitment to Art Reach values and approach Clear communicators, able to articulate position, beliefs and rationale in an inclusive way Able to operate with integrity and respect confidentiality when required Well-respected in their field of work with a broad network of contacts that can be of assistance to Art Reach Strategic thinkers, able to navigate and understand multiple stakeholder relationships Understanding and accepting of the legal duties required
Following a Trustee Skills Audit in 2025 we are particularly interested in Trustees with knowledge of:
Festival / Arts Production Marketing / Communications & Campaigning Fundraising (community & corporate) and Business Development Safeguarding children and young people Lived experience of the asylum system / migration and/or disability

As a member of our Board, you will help extend our mission to work with artists and participants who are underrepresented in the sector. You will support and shape our work to commission and programme great art that brings people together, that entertains and moves us, challenges and educates us, and helps people and communities to find their place in our cultural and creative landscape.
