What will you be doing?

Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that reflects the company’s mission and values. Create, schedule, and manage high-quality content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, etc.). Collaborate with internal teams to share student stories, program updates, and relevant resources. Monitor, respond to, and engage with our social media community in a compassionate, mission-aligned voice. Analyze platform insights and generate performance reports with recommendations for growth. Stay current with social media trends and adapt content accordingly. Manage and optimize paid social media campaigns. Maintain a content calendar aligned with campaigns, key dates, and community needs.

What are we looking for?

3+ years of experience in social media marketing, preferably in the nonprofit, education, or advocacy space. Strong writing and storytelling skills with an ability to translate complex topics into accessible content. Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later) and analytics platforms. Visual content creation experience (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.). Passion for social impact, equity in education, and student advocacy.

Preferred Attributes:

Empathy-driven communication style. Strategic thinker who can balance creativity with data. Organized, collaborative, and adaptable to shifting priorities.

What difference will you make?

As our Social Media Marketer, your work will directly influence how effectively we reach and support students experiencing financial stress—many of whom might not realize that help is available to them. By growing our brand presence and creating accessible, relatable content, you will:

Help students in need find and access support they may not otherwise know exists. Enable parents, educators, and community members to recognize financial hardship in others and guide them toward our services. Increase public understanding of the broad spectrum of financial challenges students face—not just those that fall under traditional definitions of poverty. Amplify student voices and real stories that inspire empathy, action, and change. Strengthen our partnerships with donors, schools, and organizations by showcasing our mission’s real-world impact.

Your work won’t just drive clicks or likes—it will open doors for students to get the help they need to stay in school, stay hopeful, and succeed.
