Deliciously Ella is on a mission: making people fall in love with plant-based food again. We have grown from a recipe website into a leading plant-based platform including a restaurant, a range of food products, an app, bestselling recipe books, and a vibrant online community. We're looking for a passionate individual to lead our site's Technical and Quality functions.

Role Summary

  • Managing and leading technical and quality functions of site

Role Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline
  • Certifications: HACCP Level 3, Food Safety & Hygiene Level 3, Internal Auditing
  • Experience in technical or quality management within food manufacturing

Starting from a recipe website, the business has evolved into a restaurant, a range of plant-based food products, an app, a collection of bestselling recipe books and a growing social media community that sits at the heart of what we do. We launched our first food products in 2016 and have since launched a wide range of products across different categories. We work with all the major grocers and OOH retailers across the UK. We also have a growing international business in the US and Europe.

The Role Responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of the site’s Technical and Quality functions, ensuring all products meet food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This includes maintaining and improving site certification to BRCGS standards, implementing effective Quality Management Systems (QMS), maintaining robust HACCP systems, overseeing traceability systems, maintaining and auditing product quality standards, investigating and resolving non-conformances, leading and managing all site audits, and ensuring compliance with current and upcoming legislation.

Job Requirements You should have a Degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline. Certifications such as HACCP Level 3, Food Safety & Hygiene Level 3, and Internal Auditing qualification are required. Experience in a technical or quality management role within food manufacturing, managing BRCGS certification, leading audits, and supporting NPD processes with technical and regulatory input is essential.
