Volunteer Trustee/Governor as Fundraising Lead

What will you be doing?

Heal Earth Alliance is an ambitious and growing non-profit collaborating to restore ecosystems, build community resilience, and address the root causes of climate breakdown. As we expand our reach and deepen our impact, we are looking for a new trustee to join our board with a clear focus on fundraising and resource development. Our immediate priority is to build a sustainable funding base that allows us to scale our work, pilot innovative programmes, and support grassroots partners both in the UK and globally. This includes securing  funding opportunities, cultivating long-term donor relationships, and identifying new funding streams from philanthropic, corporate, and public sector sources. We are seeking a trustee who can help lead this strategic effort, not only advising the board and staff but actively opening doors, guiding donor engagement, and shaping a resilient fundraising strategy. You may have senior fundraising experience, a strong network of philanthropic contacts, or corporate CSR leadership expertise.    

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who brings:

Proven fundraising experience, ideally at a senior level, with a strong track record of securing significant income from major donors, foundations, corporate partners, or public sector grants. Strategic insight , the ability to develop and guide effective fundraising strategies aligned with organisational goals. Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, confident in cultivating and stewarding high-value relationships. Governance or board experience , or a clear understanding of the responsibilities and dynamics of a trustee role. Passion for climate justice, regeneration, and social equity, and a belief in community-led solutions. Integrity, collaboration, and creativity, someone who brings energy, commitment, and a willingness to lead by example.
