We are looking for a Vega and Space Rider Launch System and Engineering Manager, Flight Programmes, Directorate of Space Transportation.

The role - Under the direct authority of the Head of Flight Programmes, you will be responsible for the technical coherence of the various Vega programmes and Space Rider. You will also be responsible for the execution of industrial activities for the launch system and ground segment in coordination with the relevant programme manager(s), and for the management of the Vega and Space Rider Integrated Programme Team engineering competences.

Job requirements - A master's degree in engineering is required for this post. Proven experience in contract negotiation, the management of industrial activities, the elaboration of programme proposals, including support for declarations and implementing rules, to facilitate the initiation of new programmes is required. Proven experience of leading, motivating and developing a team of experts in a project environment is also required.

Benefits - Mobility is inherent to management functions and this position may be subject to rotation. Therefore, mobility opportunities may be offered to you as part of your career evolution at ESA, beginning after approximately five years in this role.
