What will you be doing?
We are a team of volunteers who run a unique charity fundraising service called Givto, that is helping good causes across the UK and beyond. Givto enables people to discover and donate to a different charity each month with one simple Direct Debit. We need your help to ensure that our day-to-day operations are well organised and run smoothly. You will be part of our Operations and Governance Team and will be responsible for leading on activities in several key areas such as HR, policy development, and reporting. You will support the Operations and Governance Director with:
the operational running and governance of the volunteer team developing internal policies, systems and processes to ensure they are as effective and efficient as possible. routine reporting and monitoring. maintaining the charity’s risk management policy and log liaising with the Trustee Board Secretary to maintain an effective flow of business between the Board and the wider team and ensure the Board’s decisions are properly communicated and carried out. providing advice and guidance to trustees, leadership team and volunteers on governance-related matters. managing the onboarding and offboarding of volunteers. organising our full team and leadership meetings, ensuring that actions are recorded and monitored. ensuring the work of the charity is delivered in line with its own policies and charity regulations. ensuring that volunteers feel supported in their roles in order to maximise volunteer engagement.
What are we looking for?
You must have:
experience of working as an Operations and Governance Specialist, or in a related role (e.g., Project Manager/Risk Manager/Business Manager). the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team as well as motivation to undertake tasks independently. experience of implementing and ensuring internal governance is followed. the ability to engage with partners and stakeholders to deliver both joint and organisational aims, with excellent communication skills and positive working relationships. experience of problem solving and developing innovative solutions to organisation-wide issues. a proven ability to manage and prioritise workloads working within tight budgets and timescales.
What difference will you make?
Givto is unique. It's a bit like a digital version of the supermarket charity token schemes. It enables people to give to different charities but ensure that their personal information is safe. Our users and the charities we support have told us it is already making a difference and enabling charities to reach people who would never have heard of them otherwise. That's because no matter how big or small a charity is, or what cause they support, they all get a platform with Givto. We are still relatively new and unknown, so we have a lot of work to do in 2025. You will play a key role in ensuring the day to day operations run smoothly and that the organisation is robust. The more we grow the greater the operational challenges, but the more money we raise for good causes across the UK and beyond. You will also be joining an amazing team of volunteers who develop and run the Givto service. We are a dynamic and friendly team who love to learn from each other, share best practice, and have fun too.
