Volunteer Communications Lead

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and manage the team’s communication channels, ensuring timely and appropriate responses. Respond to emails or forward queries to the relevant team members. Check incoming messages from external platforms or community channels. Create and share regular summary updates about the team’s activities and projects. Clearly communicate the team’s purpose, work, and contact points to both internal and external audiences.

Accessibility & Support

Closed captions can be enabled during meetings if required. Volunteers should be confident using a computer and keyboard. We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment and will provide reasonable adjustments based on your needs.

Additional Information

This role is part of a small but growing team focused on building relationships with like-minded groups and organisations. There is a weekly team meeting (around 1.5 hours), which you’re welcome to join — attendance is encouraged but not essential. You’ll be supported by a coordinator and connected to a wider operations group for guidance and collaboration.
