What will you be doing?
Roles and Responsibilities: Contribution towards the provision of the highest possible standard of service to young people with additional needs and disabilities
to have minimum three years experience working in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to lead or support youth work activities supervise groups of young people provide 1:1 support to identified members with complex needs work as part of a team of youth workers contributing towards the planning and evaluation of youth work activities
Key Tasks:
to undertake an enhanced DBS check (every three years) to work within Hipp!!Bones policies and procedures to attend mandatory Level 2 Safeguarding Children and Young People training. to attend various training offered through organised 'Youth Work Training Days' provided by Dorset Council and Dorset Youth if desired. to undertake supervision with your line manager to keep to their agreed working pattern (1st & 3rd Saturday morning of the month)
What are we looking for?
3 years experience in youth work and/or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Good Communication Skills (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) Behaviour Management Team Player Reliable Empathy

Your input will enable us to further develop the service we currently provide by securing a minimum number of volunteers we have to call on, to ensure the safe running of sessions. The knowledge and skills you bring to our sessions, will enable us to broaden the range of activities we are able to offer our young people, alongside providing 1:1 for all our members with complex needs who need support to access the activities on offer, differentiating activities to meet individuals needs.
