Role Summary:
- The position is for a Junior Support Engineer Intern who will work with the Tier 2 Support Team.
- The role involves handling second-level incident tickets, conducting troubleshooting of software issues, and maintaining support documentation.
- Report to the Tier 2 Support Lead.
Role Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- An interest in IT hardware, software, and network systems.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French and Kinyarwanda.
- Must be able to collaborate within a team and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience in customer support and resolving inquiries.

About One Acre Fund Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase their income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent, while permanently improving their resilience. This is all made possible by our team of 9,000+ full-time staff, drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions.
The Role The Junior Support Engineer Intern will work alongside our Tier 2 Support Team to assist with second-level incident handling. You will take tickets escalated from Tier 1, perform guided troubleshooting of software issues, and apply documented Tier 2 procedures to resolve or further escalate incidents. You will help maintain support documentation (knowledge‐base articles, troubleshooting guides), and help ensure data security. You will report directly to the Tier 2 Support Lead.
Job requirements Recently completed a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Interest in IT hardware, software, and network systems. Demonstrated issues analysis and problem solving Collaborate within a team. Fluent in English; proficiency in French and Kinyarwanda. Experience providing customer support and resolving inquiries.
Benefits Interns will be provided with a reasonable stipend for the duration of their contract. Rural area based fellows will be provided assistance in locating suitable housing.
