PRDA is a charity supporting people with Pelvic Radiation Disease, a distressing, often overlooked result of pelvic radiotherapy for cancer. We’re seeking a Volunteer Research & Bid Writer to help secure funding and grow our vital support work.

What will you be doing?

Researching relevant trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies Drafting persuasive funding applications and project proposals Identifying key data or case studies to support bids Maintaining a funding pipeline and tracking deadlines Working closely with our Operations Manager 

What are we looking for?

Good at researching and finding funding opportunities Clear and confident writing, especially for grant applications Careful with details like deadlines and rules Organised and reliable, able to work on your own Interested in health, cancer, or charities, or willing to learn Motivated and able to take initiative Works well with others and communicates regularly Experience in bid writing or fundraising – we’ll support you

What difference will you make?

Providing and facilitating direct support and information to people affected by, or at risk of, pelvic radiation disease (PRD); Providing a voice for people affected by PRD; Influencing decision-makers to achieve adequate, dedicated funding for PRD services across the UK; Working with charity, professional organisations, NHS and other partners to improve health and social services for people affected by PRD; Working with charity and professional organisation partners to improve professional awareness and education on the prevention and treatment of PRD; Influencing research and trials that address issues to do with PRD.
