Looking toward the future, we are committed to becoming a more modern, forward-thinking organisation—embracing technology, strengthening our digital capabilities, and building a sustainable future for our work in both the UK and Uganda. Key responsibilities for our Philanthropy Manager will include:

Developing and implementing a grant and trust fundraising strategy. Proofreading grants and trusts applications. Cultivating relationships with grant-making organisations. Helping us shape our grants and trust stewardship journey. Keeping up-to-date on developments in the grant-making sector.

To support this transformation, we are seeking a passionate and visionary manager to help drive our next phase of growth. This role will be instrumental in:

Securing the next generation of grants and trust funding Training and empowering our junior team members in Uganda to apply for grants and trusts from within their own country and region.

Your leadership will help us build local capacity, create long-term sustainability, and ensure we continue to make a lasting impact for the communities we serve. This volunteering role is more than just a role—it's a chance to be part of something transformational.  If you're looking for a longer-term opportunity to mentor, and drive sustainable growth in an international charity setting, we would love to hear from you.

What are we looking for?

Ideal Candidate:

Passionate about international development and long-term change. Experienced in grant writing, or charitable trust applications. A natural mentor and leader, capable of inspiring and guiding emerging talent. Would be looking to join us with a view to longer-term involvement.
