About Freja

Freja is the UK’s leading bone broth brand, a category that sits between premium ingredients and functional food, with an ecommerce-first business model. Following 4 years of rapid growth and a recent investment round, we are refreshing our brand and building a team to scale the business.

We’re a small internal team that punches above our weight. We operate a flat structure and a ‘get things done’ mentality. We all roll our sleeves up and execute.

About the Role

We're looking for a smart, proactive Email Marketing Manager to take complete ownership of our email marketing channel via Klaviyo. This is a hands-on role where you will lead the strategy, execution, and optimisation of all email campaigns and automated flows to drive customer retention, engagement, and revenue.

You’ll collaborate closely with our head of digital and ecom consultant, but email marketing will be your domain to lead end-to-end. You’ll partner with our content team to bring content to life and build meaningful connections with our customers through email.

  • Own and deliver the email marketing strategy across all campaigns, automations, and flows to achieve customer engagement, retention, and revenue goals.
  • Manage our Klaviyo platform end-to-end, including segmentation, deliverability, automation flows, testing, and optimisation.
  • Plan, build, and deploy all email campaigns and automated journeys, owning everything from content planning and copy to setup, testing, and reporting.
  • Develop and refine customer lifecycle flows, including welcome, post-purchase, win-back, and loyalty sequences.
  • Use data-driven insights to iterate and improve key performance metrics (open rate, CTR, conversion, revenue per send).
  • Provide detailed reporting on email marketing performance with actionable insights for the wider team.

About You

This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in ecommerce email marketing who wants to own and scale a critical channel in a fast-growing brand. You’ll bring a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a passion for data, optimisation, and customer experience.

We’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience managing email marketing (ideally DTC), with a proven record of success in Klaviyo.
  • Strong track record in delivering impactful email marketing campaigns and automations.
  • Expertise in audience segmentation, automation, A/B testing, and deliverability best practices.
  • Experience designing and implementing customer lifecycle flows and campaigns.
  • Analytical, highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong collaborator who enjoys working with creative, ecommerce, and brand teams.
  • Familiarity with Shopify; basic knowledge of SEO or merchandising is a bonus.
  • A genuine interest in health food, nutrition, or functional ingredients.

Benefits

  • We are committed to continuous improvements to our team benefits and ways of working:
  • The opportunity to play a key role in a growing challenger brand.
  • Competitive salary.
  • All employees will have EMI share options, giving them the opportunity to participate in our success.
  • Remote-first role, 2-4 days per month in the office.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • The tech you need to get the job done.
  • Allocated budget and time off for personal and professional training and development.
  • Plenty of bone broth!
