What will you be doing?

Deen City Farm is currently looking for new voluntary trustees to support the long-term development of our much-loved community farm and riding school in Merton. We’re particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience in:

Human Resources Fundraising Grant applications

Our ideal trustees are: ✅ Strong communicators✅ Well organised and committed✅ Familiar with Merton and the surrounding area✅ Passionate about urban farming, community engagement, and equestrian education As a trustee, you’ll join a dedicated board that meets regularly on-site at the farm. Trustees also lend a hand during busy times, support key fundraising events, and help maintain the welcoming spirit of Deen City Farm. Please note: All successful applicants will be required to complete a DBS check. If you believe in the power of city farms to connect communities, educate young people, and promote sustainability—we’d love to hear from you.

What are we looking for?

An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship. Good independent judgment Strong communication Friendly and approachable Knowledge of and interest in animals and community farms is desirable. Knowledge of the grant writing procedure, and experience of successfully applying for funding opportunities - desirable.  Candidates who are local are desirable, but it is essential that you are able to travel to the farm for meetings, events and the odd day of volunteering
