The V&A, a pre-eminent global institution and home to a rich collection of over 2.8 million art and design pieces, is looking to hire a Creative Artworker for a maternity cover role. Role Summary:

  • Managing a range of projects including typesetting for major exhibitions, creating marketing materials, and developing advertising campaigns
  • Producing museum collateral within brand guidelines
  • Coordinating with printers and overseeing packaging artwork


Role Requirements:

  • Demonstrate design literacy and a quick understanding of stylistic goals
  • Knowledge of production types and materials
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects
  • Typographic, image retouching, and motion skills

The Role: We are seeking a talented and practical Creative Artworker to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This role involves balancing a range of projects, from typesetting object labels for major exhibitions to creating What's On booklets and rolling out design concepts across advertising campaigns. You will also be responsible for creating museum collateral within brand guidelines, packaging artwork, and liaising with printers.

Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent design literacy, a quick understanding of style and objectives, and an excellent knowledge of production types and materials. Proven experience in artworking a broad range of outputs and developing designs from an approved concept into final assets is essential. You should have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects, and possess strong typographic, image retouching, and motion skills.
