Volunteer Cooking Champions Trustee

What will you be doing?

Ideally, we are looking for people that have one or more of the following qualities:

Previous Trustee experience Lived experience of food insecurity, someone who understands our recipients Local connections within the London Borough of Enfield Energetic, friendly and approachable who wants to share their time helping the Charity deliver services on a regular basis A finance background, to complement the existing trustee skill set

What are we looking for?

The Personal Qualities of a Cooking Champions Trustee

Be willing to devote the necessary time and effort – which would be several hours per month to keep up with incoming emails and correspondence. Meetings take place monthly (alternating between face to face and online) and attendance is vital. Ideally all trustees would have availability to attend the Community Kitchen to understand and contribute to the work of staff and volunteers at least once a month. To have a strategic vision for the future of Cooking Champions To have the ability to think creatively To have a willingness to speak their mind To be able to work effectively as a member of a team To understand their legal duties and responsibilities as a trustee of Cooking Champions

To ensure that Cooking Champions complies with its governing document, charity law, and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
