HarperCollins UK, a supremely innovative and leading publishing house, is inviting applications for its thrilling and first-of-the-kind virtual work experience program scheduled for the 11th and 12th of August.

Role Summary:

  • A 2-day program with session timings from 9.30 am to 4 pm.
  • Interaction with various departments like Design, Marketing, Editorial, and Publicity, providing an overview of their daily responsibilities.
  • Potential to engage with functioning teams, enabling direct interaction within our structure.

Role Requirements:

  • Access to a reliable computer or laptop.
  • A quiet and distraction-free working space.
  • A genuine interest in publishing and its varied roles.
  • Must be over 18 and have pre-existing right to work in the UK.
  • No degree or prior experience in Publishing required.

HarperCollins UK is pleased to announce its first virtual work experience program scheduled for the 11th and 12th of August. This 2 day program offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals interested in exploring the various functions within our leading publishing house.

Whether you have recently finished education, are a career changer, or are simply eager to learn more about a career in publishing, our work experience program is the perfect opportunity to dive into the industry.

During this two-day program (9.30am - 4pm), participants will engage in 1 hour sessions with different departments, including Design, Marketing, Editorial, and Publicity, which will provide an overview of the day-to-day responsibilities. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions to the relevant teams, allowing for direct interaction with our departments.

This is an interactive and engaging event designed to give you an inside look at the publishing world, answer your questions, and inspire the next steps in your career.

Requirements:

  • Access to a computer or laptop with a reliable internet connection

  • A distraction free, quiet and comfortable working environment suitable for remote participation

  • A genuine interest in publishing and the various roles within the industry

At HarperCollins, we are always looking for new ideas and to hear from diverse voices, just like those featured in the books we publish. We encourage individuals from lower socio-economic backgrounds or ethnic minority communities to express their interest.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Over 18

  • Pre-existing right to work in the UK

  • You don’t need a degree

  • No prior experience working in the Publishing Industry
