What will you be doing?
Location: North & West Dorset, and South Somerset region with predominantly remote access working. There may be occasion to work directly with our staff and volunteers in North Dorset so applicants should ideally be local to us. Time commitment: Flexible – approx. 4–6 hours/month Duration: Ongoing Cause: Children, Families, Community Support What will you be doing? As our Volunteer IT Administrator, you will:
Manage user accounts, permissions, and licenses in Microsoft 365 Support onboarding and offboarding of staff and volunteers Maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) Monitor security settings and ensure compliance with best practices Provide occasional user support and guidance Recommend improvements to our digital setup and IT policies Liaise with external IT support providers if needed.

What are we looking for?
What are we looking for? We’re looking for someone with some of the following characteristics:
Experience administering Microsoft 365 (essential) Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), SharePoint, and Teams A good understanding of IT security and data protection The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users A proactive, reliable, and collaborative approach Ability to work under direction of Trustees and use their own initiative
