What will you be doing?
The Director of Finance will lead the CIC’s financial operations, overseeing banking, funding applications, financial risk management, and expense controls. This role ensures robust financial governance and supports strategic decision-making to enable sustainable community impact.
What are we looking for?
(not a requiment but ideal) Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience DBS required Experienced in a senior finance role—ideally in a CIC, charity, or social enterprise context—for at least 3 years. Demonstrated experience with grant-funded organisations, restricted fund tracking, and financial reporting to funders. Strong technical skills (e.g., ability to manage forecasts, cashflow projections, budgeting tools, QuickBooks, Sage, Excel). Excellent communicator: able to work with non‑finance colleagues and present to trustees or boards. Rigorous, organised, and trustworthy approach to financial controls, ethics, and compliance.
