Volunteer Digital Engagement Moderator

What will you be doing?

As our Digital Engagement Moderator, you'll be the heart of our online community, building vibrant connections, powerfully spreading our rescue message, and safeguarding our brand to help every spaniel find their happy ever after.   What You'll Do:

Be the warm, accurate voice of SRF, delighting our community by promptly responding to comments and messages across all platforms. You'll actively acknowledge and celebrate our incredible supporters, making them feel truly valued and nurturing lasting loyalty. Step up as the vigilant protector of our reputation! You'll expertly moderate our channels, swiftly removing harmful or false comments, and gracefully managing disruptive users to uphold the charity's values in every interaction. Be a proactive force for good, seeking out and engaging with spaniel and rescue-related content across the web to dramatically expand our organic reach and connect with new potential supporters. You'll bring our mission to life through compelling stories and spotlights on our amazing volunteers, fosterers, and adopters, filled with personal anecdotes and real, unposed photos/videos that truly showcase our rescue work.

This role offers plenty of room for creativity and innovation. Bring your ideas to life and help shape the direction of our communications and marketing strategy.

What are we looking for?

Social Media Expertise: Good knowledge and hands-on experience with various social media platforms. Genuine Passion: A genuine love of dogs, a strong commitment to animal rescue and a natural ability to foster a positive online community. Effective Communicator: Excellent written communication skills, capable of crafting warm, concise, and on-brand messages. Creative Eye: Basic graphic design and video editing abilities (e.g., using Canva or phone apps) to create engaging visual content. Proactive & Empathetic: A responsive and initiative-taking approach, combined with a deep understanding and compassion for others.
