Volunteer Trustee

What will you be doing?

Our current Trustees come from a range of backgrounds and with a wide portfolio of skills (you can learn more about them in the Trustee Recruitment Pack). We're looking to appoint up to 4 new Trustees in the coming months. We are looking for a wide variety of trustees from many different backgrounds, with varying strengths and experiences! We're especially keen to recruit Trustees with skills/experience in social enterprise, rural development, fundraising and finance.  All Trustees work from our standard job description, but really what we are looking for most of all is: 

Passion and enthusiasm for communities and what they can deliver Commitment to our values and to attend our meetings Curiosity to find out more and keep asking questions

What are we looking for?

We're especially keen to add financial expertise to our Board.   All Trustees work from our standard job description, but really what we are looking for most of all is:

What difference will you make?

Examples of our current work includes: Listening to the sector and bringing our voices together to create social change. Bringing together an alliance of VCSE organisations across Hampshire & the Isle of Wight which plays a strategic system-wide role in the NHS's Integrated Care System,  Equipping organisations and encouraging and supporting collaboration. Helping to tackle fuel poverty through our project supporting food banks, community centres and advice services to reach and support communities affected by fuel poverty.   Enabling the sector by providing quality information, training, and insight to do a great job. Providing support and guidance to village halls and other community-led initiatives, particularly in rural communities.
