FundLife is a purpose-driven international nonprofit that delivers life-changing educational opportunities to children living in the harshest realities—from conflict zones and climate-disrupted regions to urban slums and post-disaster communities.
Since 2015, FundLife has reached over 120,000 young people across the Philippines through grassroots education, sport-for-development, and digital inclusion programs. We work where others don’t—bridging the gap between global ambition and community action. Our flagship initiative, GirlsGotThis, empowers adolescent girls through education, protection, and economic opportunity.
We are now entering an exciting new chapter—and we’re looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial UK-based leader to help us shape it.
The Role: Interim Executive Director
This is not your average role—and not for the average candidate. As Interim Executive Director, you will work directly with FundLife’s founding team to lead, shape, and expand the organisation’s global impact.
You'll guide strategic partnerships, oversee program innovation, and build bridges between grassroots communities and international donors, institutions, and brands.
This is a volunteer position, but one with exceptional growth potential. For the right candidate, it offers a path to a full-time paid role and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to co-lead one of the world’s most dynamic and community-rooted organisations dedicated to equity, education, and peace-building.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to FundLife during a critical growth phase.
- Oversee and support ongoing programs in the Philippines and future expansion locations.
- Engage directly with UK and global partners, funders, and philanthropic institutions.
- Co-develop the launch of the Peace Investment Fund and other social impact vehicles.
- Represent FundLife at international forums, philanthropic summits, and media opportunities.
- Champion the voices of vulnerable youth and build long-term strategies for education justice.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership in the nonprofit, education, or social enterprise sectors.
- Deep belief in the power of grassroots leadership and youth empowerment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity and rapid growth.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and strategic planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ideally with public speaking experience.
- Desire to leave a legacy of impact and help shape the future of global education.
- Ability to commit 15–20 hours per week remotely (flexibility available).
What You’ll Gain
- A frontline leadership opportunity with tangible, life-altering impact.
- The chance to co-create new global models for community-driven development.
- Direct collaboration with global leaders, athletes, and education advocates.
- Option to transition into a permanent executive leadership role.
- The satisfaction of changing lives—not just through charity, but through purposeful design.
