We're looking for a skilled and organised Events Logistics Manager to join our team at BNJC — a unique, multi-use community hub in Hove. From cultural festivals and community dinners to private hires and residential retreats, you’ll be responsible for the smooth, professional delivery of events that bring people together.
This role sits at the operational heart of BNJC. You won’t be designing programmes or content, but you’ll be working closely with those who do — turning their vision into reality. You’ll manage logistics, staffing, venue coordination, AV, catering and supplier relationships, ensuring every detail is in place and every event runs to plan.
About the role
We host a wide variety of events across our site — from weekly classes to full-site takeovers — and no two days are quite the same. Your job is to make sure the moving parts stay aligned: people know where to be, spaces are set up correctly, equipment is working, and our guests and clients feel well looked after.
You will:
- Lead the operational planning and delivery of events
- Coordinate with internal teams (facilities, security, restaurant, holiday lets)
- Act as the main point of contact for private hire clients
- Manage timelines, set-up logistics, room layouts, AV, staffing and suppliers
- Ensure all compliance, safety, and risk protocols are in place
- Be present on-site during key events to ensure everything runs smoothly
About you
We’re looking for someone who thrives on structure and detail, but who also brings a calm, people-centred approach to their work. You’ll have:
- 4–7 years' experience in event logistics, venue operations or a similar field
- Strong project and time management skills, especially across multiple events
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Confidence with digital tools – booking systems, spreadsheets, AV equipment
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, especially under pressure
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed
You don’t need experience in Jewish events, but cultural awareness and a respectful, open approach are important.
About BNJC
BNJC is a forward-thinking Jewish community hub based in Hove. We bring people together through food, culture, learning and community. Our site includes a kosher restaurant, co-working space, nursery, synagogue, holiday accommodation, and a variety of event and activity spaces.
What we offer
- £35,000–£40,000 salary, depending on experience
- 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)
- A full-time role (40 hours/week) with flexibility across 7 days
- The chance to contribute meaningfully to a growing, purpose-led organisation
- A supportive and values-driven team environment
