Volunteer Person to find warehouse space (in/near London)

What will you be doing?

XRUK will very shortly (deadline 24th September) need to leave our warehouse space in east London. This has served as our arts factory for years and has produced the iconic artworks for which XR is so well known. It also serves as storage for our action support equipment. Together they have formed the backbone of our biggest actions. We are looking for someone with good availability and time right now to help find a new space (or spaces) in London, or possibly even the South East if necessary, to allow this essential work to continue.You will be working from a brief outlining the minimum and desired requirements for the space.There will be people to support and work with you. The role may involve some coordination of other volunteers who want to help with this work.  This is one of the most essential and urgent roles in XRUK at the moment. 

What are we looking for?

You'll need to:

be organised, hard-working, resourceful and tenacious have a good amount of time to offer in the next two months perform miracles on a miniscule budget!

Ideally you'll also (though this could be a separate person/people):

have access to a network of contacts in the arts/commercial space world (an ability to pull strings there would be our dream!) have a good knowledge of London (you probably live there) have good knowledge of commercial lease arrangements have good negotiation skills
