What will you be doing?

This role includes drafting engaging content updates, building new pages, and driving staff engagement through creative and user-centric approaches.   Key responsibilities 

Engagement & adoption:  Develop strategies to boost volunteer usage of the intranet, including spotlight features, ‘how to’ guides and feedback loops.  Conduct user training sessions to help volunteers effectively use the intranet and related tools and provide ongoing support.  Monitor analytics and usage trends to inform content and structural improvements.  Editorial support:  Provide guidance to content contributors on tone, formatting, and accessibility.  Help shape internal messaging to encourage participation and connection.  Content management:  Upload, update, and organise internal resources, news items, and documents.  Ensure content is accurate, relevant, accessible, and aligned with organisational priorities.  Page creation & structure:  Design and build new intranet pages on our SharePoint-based platform using existing brand guidelines.  Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop pages that support team initiatives, campaigns, and events. 

What are we looking for?

Experience / Skills    

Strong writing and editing skills for digital communication  Working knowledge of web CMS platforms (e.g. SharePoint, WordPress, or similar)  A flair for design and layout that makes content engaging and intuitive  Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret user data and improve UX  Collaborative nature and an understanding of different team needs  Eye for detail, with a proactive and organised approach to managing updates  Previous experience in internal communications and digital content management 

  About You    To be successful in this role you will:      

Have a visible passion for healthy lifestyle and for engaging in charitable work to contribute to improved public health   Interest in enhancing workplace culture through digital channels  Highly organised and with the ability to plan work, project manage and prioritise    Strong skills in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)    Have a high level of attention to detail   Have excellent interpersonal skills    Be a team player who is positive, hands on and able to get the best out of a team

All our roles are voluntary positions with no remuneration offered other than what we hope will be a huge amount of job satisfaction and fun, working with like-minded people with a passion for making a real difference.   The weekly time commitment to this role, and its responsibilities, is flexible and needs to suit the individual but as a minimum we ask for an average of at least 3-4 hours a week. As a team of volunteers, we are grateful to everyone who agrees to contribute some of their valuable time to the project.
