What are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced and reliable individual with a background in finance, accountancy, or charity financial management who is ready to take on a governance-level role as Treasurer Trustee. You should have:
A recognised finance qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience Understanding of charity finance requirements, reporting standards, and best practice Ability to present financial information clearly to a non-financial audience Confidence advising on budgets, forecasts, and risk Ideally, experience with small charity finances or hands-on financial management (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, or similar tools)
We’re also looking for someone who is:
Supportive and collaborative – willing to be a sounding board for the Chair and fellow trustees Detail-oriented, with good judgment Comfortable taking initiative and working independently, while contributing to board decisions
Time commitment is flexible – trustees typically attend 4–6 virtual meetings a year and contribute a few additional hours per month, with slightly more for the Treasurer during budgeting and reporting periods.
