Role Summary

The V&A is the world’s leading museum of art and design, housing a permanent collection of over 2.8 million objects, books and archives that span over 5,000 years of human creativity. The museum holds many of the UK's national collections and houses some of the greatest resources for the study of architecture, furniture, fashion, textiles, photography, sculpture, painting, jewellery, glass, ceramics, book arts, Asian art and design, theatre and performance.

The Role: This opportunity to join the V&A Wedgwood Collection team comes at an exciting time, with the Unpacking the V&A Wedgwood Collection project continuing apace, an engaging display programme in progress, and the V&A touring exhibition Wedgwood: Artists and Industry opening in China this autumn. The Curator role is a key post in our small team, line managing colleagues in project and curatorial roles and leading on operational activity such as planning and co-ordinating our programme of displays and gallery projects, site and salvage activities, and collections management, working in partnership and with colleagues across the V&A and locally in Stoke-on-Trent.
