Volunteer Chair of Trustees for charity supporting adults with Learning Disabilities or Autism.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a dynamic and committed individual to lead our Red2Green Board of Trustees as Chair. We are seeking someone with strategic vision, strong leadership and who is committed to our organisation's values.  Our current Chair of Trustees is stepping down at our AGM on the 26th September 2025, therefore we are looking for someone who can work alongside her to gain the necessary knowledge to take over after the AGM.  You may have a particular motivation for wanting to work with a disability charity, or you may just want to give something to the community. We don't mind. Our experience tells us that once you join Red2Green you won't want to leave. We offer the option of 'hybrid' board meetings so the work can be undertaken remotely, although we would like you to be able to visit our barns occasionally.

What are we looking for?

Previous experience as a trustee or chair is a must. The ideal candidate will bring:

Proven leadership experience, ideally at board or senior executive level A strong understanding of governance and the role of a trustee board Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strategic thinking, with the ability to challenge constructively and guide complex decisions Commitment to our values, mission, and the communities we serve
