The Garden Manager will be a vital part of our Landscape and Horticulture Team at Wakehurst. This role involves overseeing a range of high-profile garden areas, including the Water Gardens, Asian Heath Garden, Winter Garden, American Prairie, and other parts of the wider landscape. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the world-class collections and will be responsible for delivering the new Designed Landscape Plan, which aims to transform the garden through an ambitious programme of development.
In addition, the Garden Manager will help develop a living collections succession plan to guide future planting decisions, ensuring the garden remains vibrant and sustainable for years to come. The role requires a keen eye for detail, an aesthetic appreciation of beauty, pride in work, and a passion for helping both plants and people to grow. The successful applicant will foster a collaborative and inclusive working environment, promoting a positive culture within the team.
