As a Conservation Outcomes Manager, your role will be instrumental in guiding conservation outcomes across the Trust's endeavours. This includes:
- Providing expert guidance and training
- Building strong partnerships for nature recovery
- Developing and maintaining conservation plans and guidelines
- Managing relevant budgets
- Representing the Trust in national conservation partnerships.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in a related field such as forestry, ecology, or land management
- Leadership skills and experience in developing evidence-based guidance
- Ability to network and build partnerships
- Understanding of UK conservation issues
- Experience in line management

The role: As a Conservation Outcomes Manager, you will lead a team to embed conservation outcomes across our work. This includes providing expert guidance, training, and tools, as well as building strong partnerships to deliver nature recovery, climate, and people-focused outcomes. You will lead on building organisational expertise in evidence-based practical conservation, develop and maintain conservation guidance, and ensure that delivery activities have clear conservation outcome objectives. Additionally, you will manage relevant budgets and represent the Woodland Trust in national conservation partnerships.
Job requirements: We are seeking candidates with a degree-level education in forestry, ecology, land management, or a related field, and preferably with Chartered status or equivalent professional development. You should have strong leadership skills, experience in developing evidence-based technical guidance, and a proven ability to network and build partnerships. Experience in line management and a strong understanding of UK conservation issues are also required.
