What will you be doing?
See Around Britain is a charity that aims to offer individuals free information about a wide variety of venues, ranging from the Arts, cultural and historical sites, cafés to libraries, post offices, pharmacies, hospitals and surgeries, to tourist destinations. A specific focus is placed on accessibility for disabled individuals, providing crucial information that will allow potential visitors to make informed decisions about the suitability of a destination. This vital information is provided in the form of an online interactive map (seearoundbritain.com), which includes over 50,500 venues, allowing visitors to plan their trips based on the information provided. Social Media Volunteer The purpose of this role is to write posts on our charity's Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook accounts, with guidance and support from the charity and its social media coordinator. This can be done online flexibly from home, depending on your availability, with regular support from the charity. Your contribution as a Social Media volunteer will help raise the profile of the website and app, benefitting the lives of many people, including those with disabilities. This work can be done online in the UK. As with all our roles, volunteers may combine this with any of our other volunteering opportunities.
