Role Summary

Role Requirements
- Senior-level experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or regulatory affairs, preferably within energy, transport, or industry sectors.
- Knowledge in sustainability or decarbonisation is essential while experience in the Global South is highly valued.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and research skills; fluency in English and additional languages would be a plus.

The role of Senior Policy Officer - Critical Minerals is a key position within our Policy and Institutions Team. The successful candidate will support our mission by shaping policy engagement and strategic interventions related to critical and strategic minerals and materials. This role is vital in advancing the Foundation’s influence with EU institutions, international bodies such as the UN, G7, G20, OECD, and regional organisations like the African Union, ASEAN, and MERCOSUR.
The Senior Policy Officer will monitor and analyse policy and legislative developments across the globe, especially in regions like China, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. They will identify opportunities for collaboration, develop position papers, and strengthen relationships with stakeholders in government, NGOs, research organisations, and think tanks. The role involves representing the Foundation at external events, speaking engagements, and meetings, contributing to the global dialogue on energy transition, digital transformation, and resource management.
Candidates should have senior-level experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or regulatory affairs within sectors such as energy, transport, industry, or the digital economy, with a focus on minerals, raw materials, sustainability, or decarbonisation. A strong understanding of international policy frameworks, especially within the EU and globally, is essential. Experience engaging with stakeholders in the Global South is highly valued.
Excellent communication skills, stakeholder engagement ability, and research expertise are required. Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus. Transferable skills from adjacent policy domains are welcome.
