This is a particularly exciting time to join the business as we recently announced that we plan to merge with Praetura Ventures, a VC firm based in Manchester, to become PXN Group (subject to FCA approval). 

Role Overview

The Operations Associate will work closely with the Operations Director delivering key initiatives. This varied role will suit someone experienced in fast-paced environments, comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities, and confident delivering results under tight deadlines. Strong project management skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. 

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in operations within venture capital. You’ll work across multiple functions, helping to drive cross-functional projects, streamline internal processes, and ensure the firm operates efficiently behind the scenes. 

A core part of this role will be getting involved in the planned merger of PXN Group. 

Key Responsibilities

ESG & Impact 

• Assist in tracking and reporting ESG metrics across portfolio companies. 
• Drive the execution of ESG-related policies and initiatives in collaboration with relevant teams. 
• Coordinate with external partners and stakeholders on ESG-related projects. 

Marketing & Communications 

• Help manage content creation and distribution (e.g. social media and website updates). 
• Support event planning and execution. 
• Maintain brand consistency across internal and external communications. 

Fund Operations 

• Maintain and improve investment management systems and infrastructure. 
• Manage aspects of fund operations.  

Data & Insights 

• Support data collection and analysis for internal decision-making and external reporting. 
• Collaborate with investment and portfolio teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility. 

Reporting & Operations 

• Assist in preparing regular reports for internal stakeholders and external partners. 
• Help streamline operational processes and identify areas for improvement. 

Project Mangement  

• A large part of the role will be working alongside the Operations Director to deliver strategic initiatives across the firm.  

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years’ experience in operations, consulting, or a related field  
• A passion for variety and cross-functional work  
• Strong organisational and project management skills  
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint  
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment  
• Demonstrated ability to quickly understand new concepts and drive improvements 
• Comfortable handling both strategic projects and day-to-day tasks, big or small  
• Ideally, familiarity with start-ups and the venture capital landscape
