What will you be doing?
We are breaking barriers to employment for struggling jobseekers across the UK. We support capable people who are being shut out of the job market due to age (too old / too young), background, lack of exact experience, or imperfect career paths. We do this through our Personalised Job Search Support and our innovative, gap-bridging Practice Hub. We are urgently looking for experienced public relations managers to help us increase our visibility to jobseekers who need our support and to help us gain more exposure for our fundraising campaigns. We would like the volunteer to:
Represent our organisation as a volunteer public relations manager Develop and implement PR strategies to raise awareness of ELE Hub’s mission, programmes, and impact across media and community channels. Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure positive media coverage and partnership opportunities. Create engaging press materials including press releases, media kits, and story pitches that highlight our work and success stories. Monitor media coverage and report on PR outcomes to help shape future campaigns and outreach. Support brand consistency by ensuring all public communications reflect ELE Hub’s values, tone, and vision.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a volunteer who has experience:
Creating and delivering PR campaigns that raise awareness and engagement Writing press releases, media pitches, and compelling public stories Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers Gaining media coverage across print, online, and broadcast platforms
The volunteer should also have/be:
Accuracy and attention to detail Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to quickly understand the needs of our team / organisation / users Can ask key questions to enable us to clarify requirements Understands the resource constraints of a small not-for-profit and is able to work with these Open to feedback Collaborative Willing and able to work within virtual teams and contribute to team goals
