Volunteer ERPNext CRM Developer

What will you be doing?

We use a self-hosted open source CRM module of ERPNext. Your help will be essential. The role can be shared to support with tasks, expertise and ideas.You will:

Develop and maintain our ERPNext CRM system Design and implement custom workflows, forms, and reports to meet our organisational needs Collaborate with our team to identify and prioritise features and improvements Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with GDPR regulations Provide training and support to our team members on using the ERPNext CRM system who provide data entry admin and support to user teams Support system administrators in keeping the platform secure and well maintained Support technical guide writers to provide user guides

Our 3 high priority tasks are:

Email function, see below for more detail on ERPNext's claim Seek and record GDPR consent from our contacts Develop a process to review user access, remove users and grant access to users

Currently our CRM holds approx. 1,400 contacts. We collaborate with these contacts on our actions and campaigns. Some contacts are donors / potential donors used by our fundraising team. XR wants to extend our influence across the UK to lobby governments, organisations in the fossil fuel industry and water companies. ERPNext's claim:

ERPNext's CRM module supports personalised bulk emails. The system allows businesses to send personalised, automated email campaigns to leads and prospects, including drip campaigns triggered by actions like form submissions, email opens, or specific interests. These campaigns can be tailored using fields from the Lead or Contact document within the email template, enabling personalisation such as using the recipient's first name. The CRM module integrates with email service providers to facilitate sending bulk emails to large numbers of prospects or customers with personalised messages. Furthermore, the system tracks email status, including whether an email has been opened, and provides features like unsubscribe links, allowing recipients to opt out of future communications.

If the claim cannot be verified, we need to either set up our own email list maybe using MailerSend orcustomise ERPNext to send emails or buy in a mailing list. Any solution must be at minimum cost.
