Venture Scotland offers a long-term, outdoor-based personal development programme which empowers young people aged 16-30 and adults in addiction recovery, who face complex and difficult challenges in their lives, to create and sustain change.

We focus on the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our participants, working with them both in group settings and 1-2-1, to make lasting changes in their lives and help them play a positive role in their communities.

We are seeking a Programme Delivery Manager, who identifies with our values of Trust, Respect, Belonging, Compassion and Empowering, to help deliver our outdoor-based programmes, along with managing our Edinburgh and Glasgow programme delivery team and resources. This includes delivering outdoor activities and residentials (up to a maximum of 5 nights) and providing in-depth social and emotional learning opportunities for individuals and groups. This key role within our organisation will also involve evaluation, supporting and developing volunteers and staff, managing logistics and ensuring the highest standards of safety while building on our caring, open, collaborative and inclusive work culture.

As a senior manager within the organisation, you will also work closely along side the CEO, Finance and Administration Manager and Fundraising Manager to use your skills and experience to lead the organisation forward.

Further Information

Full time: 37 hour per week

Salary: SJC Scale 31-35 (£36,898 – £40,698) + 5% Employer Pension & 5% Employee Contribution Pro Rata.

Minimum Qualifications: Summer Mountain Leader (Assessed); Rock Climbing Instructor (Assessed); Paddlesport Leader; 16 hour first aid qualification; Full driving licence with D1+E.

Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh Based. This role can be based in either of our centres, but will require travel to the other centre normally 2 days a week (travel will be paid by VS).

This role is considered ‘regulated work’ as it involves activities with both children and protected adults. Under our safeguarding policy, this role will require a PVG.
